Urban Development Corporation requires an:
Accounting Manager JCC(Contract)
Job Summary
The incumbent has overall responsibility for ensuring sound management of the accounting requirements related to the Corporation’s Management of the Jamaica Conference Centre (JCC), including, preparing monthly financial and management reports.
The ideal candidate should have:
Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
University degree in Accounting, Management or equivalent
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial accounting at a middle management or senior level with a medium or large organization
Experience in implementing management control system
Working knowledge of Financial System – General Ledger, Financial Reporting
Knowledge of computer applications with proficiency in Word and Excel
Sound knowledge of management accounting systems, policies and procedures
Required Skills and Specialized Techniques
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
Good customer service skills and awareness
Ability to interpret financial statements and management reports
Well-developed analytical, supervisory and personal/human relations skills
Sound administrative and organizational skills
Sound time management skills
