As a strategic business partner, you will help the company achieve its goals and objectives by being a team member advocate, change leader, and champion for building engaged teams that consist of high quality members. This position will require frequent interaction with staff both onsite and in our corporate office. You will work closely with our stakeholders to provide prompt quality assistance.

Duties & Responsibilities

·Assist the Human Resources Manager in leading the HR function
·Provide guidance to employees and management regarding HR policies, practices and relevant employment law.
·Manage the entire disciplinary process: conduct disciplinary hearings and investigations, coordinate with department management and advise on the process for employee coaching and corrective actions.
·Ensure timely implementation of employee benefits including, but not limited to; enrollments, terminations, bill reconciliations, data entry and administration and ensure employees have timely access to benefit information
·Diversity - Ensure inclusion and an open/equitable work environment for all employees related to programs, policies and procedures and continuously promote diversity in staffing.
·Performance Management - Provide guidance to regional leaders on performance evaluations and effective communication/coaching to employees.
·Manage performance review process and implement measures such as IDPs and PIPs with line management to move talent base forward.
·Organizational Design/Change Management - Partner with regional leaders to develop and maintain an organizational design structure that provides appropriate levels of management as well as desired development opportunities. Lead change management initiatives by creating awareness, understanding, buy-in and ownership for change.
·Ensure implementation and monitor compliance of existing company policies and programs. Ensure compliance with all government laws, as well as all company policies and procedures.
·Communication - Provide information to business partners in a timely and effective manner.
·Utilize systems to ensure effective and appropriate reports are available to analyze business needs and act proactively to impact change.
·Participate in regional meetings and other communication meetings as needed.
·Regularly report employee relations issues/activities to Human Resource Manager.
·Keep Human Resource Manager apprised of relevant employee communications/morale issues, trends, needs and/or developments
·Operations Support - Visit locations/departments on a regular basis to stay current on employee issues, success of initiatives, and to keep familiar with operational processes and procedures.
·Other duties assigned

Skills, Qualification & Competencies

·Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
·Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of HR and Supervisory experience
·Computer proficiency, e.g., MS Office (Outlook, Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint), HRIS
·Knowledge of labour laws, counseling/coaching skills, benefits management and strong training/presentation skills.
·Experience with interviewing, orientation, training and/or supervision of employees
·Attention to detail and organizational skills
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Ability to handle multiple demands, work under time pressures and meet deadlines
·Conflict resolution and crisis management experience
·Personal integrity to handle confidential information
·Willingness to be open, to learn and to take on new responsibilities
·Demonstrate objectivity, neutrality and calmness under pressure
·Outstanding, dynamic customer service skills
·Effective listening and conflict resolution skills
·Effective communication skills in English
·Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to quickly adapt to changing conditions
·Available to work evenings and weekends
