The National Land Agency invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant post within the Estate Management Division:
Assistant Property Administrator(Divestment Services) – (1 Post)
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Property Administrator (Acquisition and Divestment)

Job Purpose
To support the process of acquisition and divestment of Crown Land in accordance with existing policy guidelines and legislative framework through the undertaking of technical assessments, investigations and the preparation of documents for divestment and acquisition of land on a Parish basis

Key Responsibilities
Administrative Responsibilities
Responds to divestment inquiries from internal customers and existing and prospective clients
Consults with internal and external stakeholders regarding divestment applications
Maintains a log of all correspondence received and dispatched for applications related to the parishes assigned
Technical/Professional Responsibilities
Assists with preparation of ministerial matters for submission to the Land Divestment Advisory Committee
Assists with the preparation of documents to facilitate consultations with regulatory and planning agencies regarding proposed land use, conditions and terms of use for divestments for the parishes assigned
Conducts research to assist with the compilation of evidence/information regarding applications for the assigned parishes, to support the decision making process and the outlining of divestment conditions for inclusion in Ministerial Approvals
Supports the coordination of the divestment process by complying with established processes
Conducts investigations of gifts and properties transferred bona vacantia and prepares reports for submission, for applications within the parishes assigned
Assists with research/investigation of technical data and reports in relation to the peculiar nature of divestment applications within the region/parishes assigned, to guide the Land Valuation Division in the valuation process
Requests Certificates of Valuation/Report in accordance with specific requirements and scope as outlined in application documents, technical documents and any other associated information for matters related to the parishes assigned
Assists with the drafting of reports in respect to the divestment of Crown Lands, Project Land Lease and Land Settlement properties within the parishes assigned, for review.
Updates property databases and provides data for analysis and generation of reports
Other Responsibilities
Keeps abreast of trends and developments in real estate and land reform and recommends their application where appropriate, to increase the effectiveness of the Division
Performs other related duties assigned from time to time by the Manager/Director

Required Competencies
The post-holder will be able to demonstrate:
Excellent Interpersonal skills
Excellent judgment, decision making and problem solving skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Competence in the use of relevant computer applications

Minimum Required Education and Experience
B.Sc. degree in Estate Management or equivalent degree
Experience in land administration would be an asset
