The Ideal TA: You will need to have resilience in abundance, humour & the ability to use your initiative in challenging situations that may arise. Key characteristics of the ideal Teaching Assistant for this role is anyone who has an interest in supporting challenging behaviour within an alternative provision, psychology graduates and sports orientated candidates.
The Learning Support Assistant will be required to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups. Tasks will include:
- Delivering tailored learning activities prepared by the teacher
- Supporting the social and emotional development of students, raising any concerns as per the school’s policy and protocols
- Ensuring that all pupils can engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson or activity
- Display patience, understanding and commitment
- Show resilience towards challenging behaviour

The Role:
Applicants will be working in a classroom supporting class Teachers and fellow support workers in all aspects, including but not limited to assisting with delivering lessons, cleaning up, lunch duty, class activities, managing behaviours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
