Tomlinson Environmental Services is a leading provider of environmental services in Eastern Ontario and is looking for an energetic Business Development Representative to join their team in Kingston.
This person will be responsible for the development and maintenance of new relationships along the 401 Corridor and will be representing the Tomlinson Group across multiple product and service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
To build market positions by locating and developing new business relationships.
Identify prospect needs and understand their business drivers.
Perform market research to identify prospective customers.
Provide customers innovative solutions and maintain productive relationships.
Meet with clients in the public and private sectors throughout the 401 Corridor.
Preparation of sales presentations, business proposals and quotations.
Prepare relevant reports for business development activities.
Work closely with internal Operations and Administration teams.
Requirements:
College diploma in Business Administration or related experience and 2 - 4 years sales experience, plus at least 1-year in cold calling and direct sales resulting in successfully obtaining customer appointments.
Experience in the Environmental Services industry including Liquid Waste, Solid Waste, Hazardous Waste, Comfort Stations, Kitchen Services, Garage Services, Industrial Services (Dry and Wet Vacuum Trucks, Hydro Vac Trucks, High Pressure Water Blasting, Working at Heights, Confined Space) and/or experience in Heavy Civil Construction, Concrete Ready Mix or Aggregate industries.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including active listening skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a time sensitive environment.
Be a proactive problem solver with a sense of urgency and follow up.

Capable of upholding high safety standards
Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
Experience with Salesforce is an asset
Experience with Microsoft Office
