We are growing our Legal Team and have opportunities for experienced in house solicitors to join the team. As a Primark Solicitor you will be part of the Primark Global Legal team. You will provide commercially focused and pragmatic legal support to the wider Primark business. You will be involved in daily interaction with our business units such as Buying, Finance, Brand, IT and many other internal customer groups, as well as external counterparties. In this opportunity you will report directly to the Director of Legal.

What the role involves;
- A commercial, assertive and diplomatic lawyer who has strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Delivering high quality and commercially pragmatic legal advice to Primark.

- Proactively collaborating with colleagues to better protect the business, maximise value and manage risk.
- Leading on the drafting, review and negotiation of commercial agreements including bespoke contracts, supply chain related agreements, supplier agreements and agreements governing the delivery of the company's information systems and services.
- Advising on the broad range of issues you would expect from a large multinational retailer.
- Applying a breadth of professional knowledge in a manner which allows achievement of the greatest competitive advantage.
- Managing external legal counsel, ensuring maximum efficiencies of work performed whilst proactively managing the costs incurred.

- The experience you will need to have;
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years PQE.
- Must have experience of in-house and private practice in the UK or Ireland.
- Broad general Commercial experience including advising on IT related matters.
- Must be capable of applying a rigorous legal interpretation without compromising the business.
- The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of using their initiative and relish working in a fast paced dynamic environment.
