Job Posting General Duties: The City of Rosemount is accepting applications for a full-time Communications Coordinator. This position will coordinate the city's overall communications and marketing program. Ensures high quality and timely distribution of accurate and relevant information to stakeholders and promotes a positive public image for the community; produces and enhances communication and public information methods that support the City's commitment to open, friendly, and responsive government; and proactively develops creative messaging to tell the City's story.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, public or business administration, or related field.
- Two years of experience in managing projects in communications, public relations, community affairs, or similar experience in related field.
- Excellent spoken and written communications and customer service skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Suite of Products, desktop publishing, and web publishing software.
- Fluency with social media and web applications.
- Willingness and flexibility to work hours necessary to accomplish responsibilities (hours or schedule may occasionally vary).
- Valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in related field.
- Two years of experience in local government. Two years of experience designing and maintaining websites.
- Two years of graphic design software experience.
2020 Pay range: $66,845 - $85,925/year plus excellent benefits. DOQ
