Excelsior Community College invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of:
Computer Laboratory Technician(Classification: EIGS/AS2)

Summary of Position
The Computer Laboratory Technician will assist with the planning, maintenance, operations and troubleshooting for all college computing needs. This position will have primary responsibility for the efficient and effective management of computer laboratories.

Ideally Candidates should:
Be familiar with basic laboratory terminologies
Be able to work on own initiative
Be able/willing to work flexible hours when necessary
Have a good attendance record
Possess excellent customer service skills

Required Qualification/Experience
Associate Degree in Computer Studies or related area
Technical Certificate in hardware/software/ networking
At least two years’ experience in a similar job

Required Skills and Competencies
Ability to work well independently, and also as a member of a team as necessary
Ability to multitask
Thorough knowledge and understanding of Computer Hardware and software applications
Basic knowledge of Windows Printer Queues Computer networking experience
Effective organization, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to work in a student centered environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
