Company based in Clarendon immediately needs:
Computer Technician

Main Duties of the Role:
Installation, repair, maintenance computer equipment, network hardware and cabling, and telephonic systems.
Respond to user problems with individual computer hardware systems, operating system software and application software.
Perform basic support of computer network systems; use network and server utilities to install and remove users from system, monitor system usage and monitor servers for normal operation.
Troubleshoot problems with servers, computers, bridges, printers, network switches/routers and network cables and replacing unserviceable ICT systems components.
Perform typical server and network administration skills to include upgrades and maintenance of SQL, LAN/WAN, DNS, TCPIP, WINS, DHCP and IIS support functions.
Support enterprise database and software applications like Sage 300 and iVend Retail.
Assist in the installation of back-up systems to avoid system/data losses or disasters whenever there are technical failures.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
Good problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to exercise initiative and work in a team
Valid driver’s licence

Minimum Qualifications
Diploma in IT or Computer Science or equivalent from a tertiary institution, plus 1-2 years’ experience in the related field.
CompTIA, Cisco or Microsoft certifications would be an asset.
