Jamalco is seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified:
Contract Land Agent– Lands Administration
Under the direction of the Land Acquisition Supervisor this position is accountable:
To execute land acquisition activities to make bauxite reserves available according to the prevailing mine plans;
To acquire complimentary privately owned lands for the reclamation of mined out areas, consistent with the Company’s Land Acquisition and Resettlement protocols;
To execute the Land Acquisition programme through the acquisition of privately Owned lands to facilitate the construction of haul roads, yards, and the relocation of parish roads;
To support the company’s resettlement programme, through the purchase of lands for the establishment of subdivisions to resettle vendors, in accordance with the established guidelines and procedures of the Land Acquisition Protocol;
To maintain cordial relationships with residents of the communities in which the Company works or plan to work, to facilitate continuity of the bauxite mining operations and promote community development;
Use of Jamalco Business System (JBS) to effectively manage the Lands Department’s activities, integrate EHS in daily work, control costs and promote teamwork through active participation in Area and Quality improvement Lead Teams.
Qualification and Experience
To be considered you must have:
A Bachelor of Science Degree or its equivalent in Real Estate Management or equivalent qualification.
A minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in land management, property assessment and evaluation and sub-division development.
A high level of leadership, organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work on own initiative.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
