In this position, you support the eMobility Group with expertise to lead the functional safety activities pertaining to battery electric vehicle development. This is an emerging, exciting technology, and the right person will drive DTNA's success by helping our engineering department, customers and network adopt the new vehicles into their operations.

Responsibilities

- Review and evaluate functional safety requirements of innovative battery modules as well as integration into electrical vehicles

- Manage all aspects of Functional Safety compliance for EMG, including assessment of drop-in designs

- Collaborate locally and globally to evaluate process gaps and lead EMG engineers to meet an acceptable safety level

- Define improvements area within the design and work with design teams to achieve the goals

- Lead and moderate Hazards Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARAs)

- Lead and ensure technical completeness of all Functional Safety work products for EMG: Item Definitions, Safety Plans, Safety Concepts and test cases

- Manage EMG Safety Plans to align with product flow and functions

- Propose and develop Safety Concepts and assemble/ensure completeness of Safety Cases

- Develop detailed safety requirements for features, systems, and components in electric truck battery systems

- Moderate Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEAs)

- Mentor and support Mechatronics team to meet ISO 26262 requirements

- Evaluate supplier Self-Assessments and Development Interface Agreements (some travel may be required)
