Full time teaching positions available for Newly Qualified Teachers in South East London for September!
Teaching Personnel is recruiting for two Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) for secondary aged students based in Lewisham and Greenwich, both of which requires a teacher who can teach up to English GCSE curriculum using the AQA syllabus at either Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4. These schools are happy to give the opportunity to either an experienced teacher or a confident NQT.
Classes in a PRU consist of no more than 9 pupils, and you will be supported by two Teaching Assistants in the room. You must have experience of teaching GCSE English, and you must be confident to deal with challenging behaviour at times.
Ofsted most recently inspected this school stating that ‘Highly effective teaching over time in English has led to increasing numbers of pupils, including those who are disadvantaged and the most able pupils, making accelerated progress and achieving standards that are in line with or above those achieved by their peers in all other schools.’ The school was assessed to be a Good school overall.
