Financial Analyst– Vacant (2 posts)
Job Summary
The incumbent in the capacity of Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing the financial operations of assigned Public Sector Entities (PSE) and identify the issues affecting financial performance.
Key Responsibility Areas
To identify, evaluate and report on issues affecting the financial operations of public enterprises;
Provide support in the drafting and recommendation of policy alternatives for improving enterprises’ financial management, and compliance with governing acts;
Provide financial data on the operations of the assigned PSE for various stakeholders.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
Technical
Knowledge of Accruals and Government Cash Accounting;
Knowledge of GoJ Budgeting and Planning Processes
Core
Excellent critical Reasoning, Quantitative/Qualitative Analysis skills
Strong Negotiating and Persuasive Skills
Excellent Problem Solving/Judgmental and Analytical Skills
Excellent Interpersonal skills
Proficiency in the use of the relevant computer applications
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Management Studies (Accounting) or;
ACCA (Level I I) or;
A.Sc. Accounting (MIND) along with the completion of the revised Certificate in Government Accounting Course
Minimum Three (3) years’ related experience
