Food Technology Teacher is required for a large, modern school that are looking to add to their staff in the Design and Technology Faculty (located local to the Enfield area) to teach in their small, but successful Food Technology Department. This consists of 6 other DT Teachers; however you will be one of two specialist Food Technology Teachers – delivering a curriculum consisting of Hospitality & Catering, and Food Preparation & Nutrition. Food Technology has proven to be a popular subject at KS4 and KS5, so you will be working with pupils ready to learn and keen to reach high attainment levels in this area.
It is essential you have experience as a teacher of Food Technology at Secondary School level. You should be creative in your lesson delivery, as you will be teaching a range of ability levels. You will need to be organised, innovative and have a range of good behaviour management skills to draw on the student's interests, ensuring that progress is made.
The school are open to applications from Newly Qualified Food Technology teachers (NQT's) as well as experienced practitioners.
Food Technology Teacher – Requirements;
- Have experience as a Food Technology Teacher at Secondary Level (KS3, KS4, and KS5).
- Deliver inspiring and engaging Food Technology Lessons. Ensuring that all students work their hardest to achieve the highest results.
- Hold a recognised UK teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE or QTLS
