Grossing Technician/Medical Lab Technician - Full Time, Days Flex

The technician in the pathology department is an assistant to the pathologists and is responsible for prompt and accurate accessioning, cutting, embedding, coverslipping, and staining of surgical specimens. The position is also responsible for special stains, frozen sections, cell blocks, decalcification, and filing slides, all required computer entries, reports, and records are done and discrepancies are brought to the attention of the Laboratory Pathologists. This position reports to the laboratory pathologists and laboratory administrative director and interacts with laboratory clerical staff, physicians, and hospital nursing staff, especially, from the operating room.
Employment Criteria
NYS License as a Certified Histology Technician

Monday - Friday, 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm (Full Time)
