Successful secondary academy in Petersfield to appoint a Teacher of History to join their friendly historic academy.

The academy is a happy, thriving 11-16 mixed Academy with a commitment to securing exceptional student outcomes and an unrivalled student experience. Over 1300 students thrive in an environment where behaviour is outstanding, relationships are excellent and opportunities are plentiful.

This position is a full time permanent position paid to your current teaching scale with salary set between GBP24373 and GBP46877.

This streamline effect will allow you to focus on the classroom, and delivering quality content to your students.

The academy’s examination results are consistently above the national average, showcasing the outstanding teaching that takes place. As a member of the humanities department you will be expected to show an outstanding level of teaching, and will be responsible for holding yourself, your team and your students to a high standard.

The academy is interested in an experienced teacher of history to join their progressive and ambitious department for the new academic year. You will be teaching a mixture of KS3 and KS4 on a full timetable with protected time throughout the week to allow for in-depth planning and differentiation within school to keep the work life balance. The humanities department are lucky to have a resource sharing area as well as a small staff room within their dedicated block and modern suite s and facilities. This should allow you to focus on the classroom and will help to streamline your time within school to produce and deliver high quality lessons.

The school cohort are extremely academic, and are capable of high levels of attainment. You will be expected to stretch and encourage all students regardless of ability, utilising the school policies and structure to your advantage to promote life long learning and excellence in everything.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
