Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, you will be the first point of contact for all HR-related matters; preparing documents, ensuring employees receive adequate support and interact with internal and external parties. Your main responsibility will be to maintain, update and manage employee records, health and life insurance benefits. You are expected to handle all written and verbal employee queries confidentially. A good understanding and knowledge of employment law and ensuring that the HR department conforms to these is also key, as well as assisting with any other administrative tasks as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Being the first point of contact for employees on any HR related queries
• Forming and maintaining employee records
• Updating leave management database internally
• Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents, such as employment contracts
• Reviewing and renewing company policies and legal compliance
• Communicating with external partners
• Reporting regularly on HR metrics, such as company turnover
• Assisting with payroll by providing the department with relevant employee information, i.e. holiday and sick days taken
• Processing internal arrangements such as travel, training sessions, and team-building events.
• Manage the various company benefits

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

• Certification in Human Resources, Management or related field
• Proven HR experience
• Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills
• Sound knowledge of labor laws and practices
• The ability to keep sensitive information confidential
• Must be approachable and helpful
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Good ethical judgment
• Understanding various HR software and systems
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Organizational skills and ability to priorities
