The National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of:
Internal Audit Assistant
The successful candidate will report to the Internal Audit Manager and the primary responsibilities are maintaining audit working paper file for all audit assignment, cross reference audit findings to documentary evidence, assess the effectiveness of internal control system over procurement of goods and services. Also, examining the process for preparation and maintenance of accounting records to determine that proper internal controls are in place. Additionally, participate in examination process for recruitment and termination of staff that it is carried out in accordance with Government Regulations and other relevant established procedures.

Qualifications Required
Education/Experience
AAT/CAT Level II or equivalent
Knowledge of Government accounting policies and legislation
Knowledge of QuickBooks Software
5 CXC/GCE O’ Level subjects (including Mathematics and English)
At least 3 years’ experience in Auditing/Accounts

Specifications
Knowledge of Financial Administration and Audit Act.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
An aptitude to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to carry out tasks without constant supervision.
In possession of a valid driver’s licence.
