A day in the life:
Maintain wooded areas. Replant, prune, thin or trim trees, shrubs and groundcover.

Operate a variety of equipment such as trucks, mowers and herbicide sprayers.

Maintain turf areas along roads. Install and repair irrigation systems.

Service and repair tools and motorized equipment.

During winter, operate heavy equipment to clear snow from roads. May remove snow and ice from maintenance compound, office walkways and equipment.

Perform minor building maintenance including sweeping floors, cleaning toilets, painting and light carpentry.

Clear brush on right of way, mow grass in median areas. Pick up and dispose of litter and other debris. Repair and rebuild fences.

Exposure to noise, adverse weather, dangerous equipment, pesticides, fertilizers and hazardous waste materials is expected.

May need to be available at any time for emergency, on-call and weather-related purposes.

What we need:
Six months experience in operating heavy or light motorized equipment, using hand and power tools, performing minor servicing of equipment and applying safety procedures.

Employee will be required to use a commercial motor vehicle to conduct business; you must possess a current, valid commercial driver's license A (CDL-A)ORhave the ability to acquire one within six months of hire (ODOT will cover training and costs) to be considered eligible for this position. A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Clearinghouse registration and full query check for our final candidate(s) and annual query for current employees.
