Metrics and Reporting Analyst
Purpose of role: Reporting to the Retail Analytics and Reporting Manager, the Metrics and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for assessing requirements, project planning and implementation of new reporting across the retail operations spectrum. This role is key in developing a data driven approach to retail management.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the end to end process of requirements gathering, project planning, design and implementation of new streamlined and efficient reporting in the Retail Operations team.
- Manage the Metrics and Reporting Project to move all* Retail Operations (excel) reports to tableau.
- Work with the BI team and various stakeholders to develop self service reporting for consistently requested information from store and country teams.
- Support the Profit Protection and Customer Insight Analysts in developing reporting for their departments.
- Define the cadence for reporting and preparing daily, weekly, quarterly, monthly, and annual financial data and reports and develop streamlined reporting processes as appropriate.
- Work with ICT and Finance to operationalize the reporting of various metrics and improve systems to track and analyse data.
- Develop and introduce a systemised balanced scorecard that reinforces ISE outcomes.
- Ensure that all metrics used are meaningful and ensure high quality, accurate data is produced and communicated.
- Collate and produce various reports including cleaning SLAs, Period trading templates, board member retail performance packs and others where appropriate.
- Deal with requests for information and provide customized reports and recommendations supporting ongoing business decisions or initiatives.
Essential knowledge, education, skills and experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- 5 plus years experience as a data analyst within a consumer focused, retail or ecommerce business
- Experience of working with SQL/ BI reporting tools, such as Oracle, for data extraction and analysis or other similar tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
- Highly computer and data literate with experience of sourcing, analysing and reporting by turning raw data into meaningful insights
- Excellent analytical skills; as well as expertise in Databases and Excel.
- Experience in working as part of a diverse and geographically dispersed team
- Organised, detail-oriented, possessing the ability to effectively prioritise projects and deliverables whilst meeting deadlines set by management.

- Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule for self and team and work within agreed timescales.
- Excellent attention to detail and an ability to analyse and interrogate high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview.
- Proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Operates with a high level of integrity, diplomacy, tact and professionalism.
- Effective and persuasive presentation skills, including the ability to present complex information in an understandable manner to all areas of the business.
- Experience of data analysis/data manipulation/problem solving
