Predictive Maintenance Subject Matter Expert - Inspire: The Trucks & Buses Experience Program (Expert Track)

What You’ll Do:

Are you INspired to pioneer emerging technologies within commercial transportation? If yes, then you may be a great fit for our INspire: the Trucks & Buses Experience Program – Expert track.

You will spark the Technology Revolution with the power of your own ideas during this 36-month rotational program. Rather than join a traditional line function, you will deploy throughout the organization and tackle the hottest technology challenges across multiple high-impact, high-visibility projects. This program will place you at the forefront of technology development at DTNA, and will accelerate your career with us. At the conclusion of the program, you will be placed into a full-time position within your home department, undoubtedly with a significant global network and the skills to succeed within the organization.

During your initial program rotation, you will be a key player in our Digital Vehicle Solutions team. This team is working towards its goal of delivering Detroit Connect suite of connected vehicle services. We are looking for someone with a strong engineering background and appetite to learn predictive modeling using advanced AI techniques to become our subject matter expert in predictive maintenance. A successful predictive maintenance modeling requires Data (Data from telematics, repair history, Warranty data, engineering data which include data sources from Physical testing, suppler testing, engineering specs etc.), extensive vehicle knowledge, and data science skills. The subject matter expert plays a major role in explaining the data context to the data scientists for building accurate predictive models and validate the models

General Job Duties:

Engineering SME (Primary Role, expected to bring the experience)

- Overall Engineering subject matter expert

- Meta data documentation for all the data coming from the trucks sensors

- Develop deep Understanding of fault codes and how they are related to the health of the components

- Develop deep understanding of end to end sensor functionality on the trucks

- Excellent network to Engineering and PVE community

- Validating the Predictive data models before goes to the customer testing

Machine Learning Development / AI (On the Job Development role)

- Interested in applying advanced AI techniques (machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, predictive analytics, optimization, anomaly detection, recommendation engines, forecasting, time-series analysis) to real-world problems

- Applied experience with real-time streaming

- Demonstrated ability to iteratively conceptualize, design and build data-driven analytical models, and have taken a project leadership role in shaping these solutions

- Experience manipulating and preparing large, heterogeneous data sets to support advanced analytics

- Strong capabilities in modern analytics languages and tools

- Strong skillset in project management, communication, and framing operations/business problems as math problems

- Use Big Data technologies (such as Hadoop, Spark, Storm) to build large scale data mining pipelines

Consulting

- You will interact cross-functionally with internal teams, customers and external partners (startups) to lead and deliver best-in-class products in a fast-paced environment

- Develop Predictive Maintenance strategy and implementation tactics

- Run customer pilots in a consultant role

- Evaluate 3rd party companies technically
