The Council of Voluntary Social Services (CVSS) invites applicants for the following position within its team:
Programme Manager
The Programme Manager leads on the development and management, and monitoring and evaluation of the programmes and projects of the Council. The Programme Manger develops and implements capacity building programmes for CVSS member agencies; manages the CVSS volunteer programme and initiates and overseas key fundraising events and activities undertaken by the Council; is the primary contact between the Members of the Council of Voluntary Social Services and project partners, has responsibility for facilitating meetings of the Sector Committees; fosters co-operation and networking among agencies; and facilitates and develops the relationship between the Council, client organizations and the members through effective service delivery.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences or related area, advanced degree desirable.
Three years-experience in programmes/project management.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Excellent coordinating and leadership skills.
Strong analytical skills and sound judgment.
Proficiency in the use of computer technology, productivity tools, database management and social media.
Knowledge of financial management.
Experience working in the private voluntary sector would be an asset.
