The National Housing Trust is seeking to employ two:
Project Managers– Project Management Department
Under the direction of the Senior Project Manager, the successful candidates will manage the implementation of assigned projects in keeping with the laws and regulations of Jamaica and NHT policies, standards, and procedures.
Main Duties
Duties specific to the position include but are not limited to the following:
Developing project concepts with internal and external stakeholders
Preparing project plans and coordinating activities to obtain project designs and related approval
Preparing and submitting project proposals to the Properties & Technical Committee
Managing consultants & contractors’ performance and related activities in keeping with approved budget, schedules, specifications and risks
Managing infrastructure and housing construction works to ensure compliance with specifications and sound construction practices
Participating in developing, reviewing and implementing operational systems, policies and procedures to guide construction activities
Participating in developing and managing the department’s budget, operational, procurement and risk plans, and managing assigned staff
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have:
A bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil/construction engineering, quantity surveying, architecture or equivalent accredited qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
Certification in project management principles and techniques.
At least four years’ experience in a similar capacity.
Knowledge of:
GOJ laws, regulations and guidelines governing procurement and contract administration and the construction sector
NHT policies, procedures and practices

Technical and engineering principles
Project management techniques
