Project Officer
The purpose of the position of Project Officer for Peace Management Initiative Western is to facilitate its sustainability efforts and strengthen its community linkages. The Project Officer will provide technical guidance and direction, credible information and analysis to influence decision making.

Key Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Administrator the Project officer will be expected to:
Identify funding agencies; conceptualize project ideas and programmes for discussion with relevant organizations;
Prepare project proposals;
Prepare briefs, terms of reference, and reports for the Administrator and the Board of Directors;
Prepare press releases and other relevant information for the public; Undertake any other relevant assignment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Core Competencies includes:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Good planning and problem solving skills
Good leadership and interpersonal relations skills
Ability to manage external relationships
Excellent knowledge of Government policies & procedures
Knowledge of computer software including word processing, spreadsheets and analytic packages

Minimum Required Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Management or related discipline
3 years’ experience in related field Training and certification in planning and policy procedures
