The National Housing Trust is seeking to employ a:
Project Officer– Property Management Department
Under the direction of the Project Manager, the successful candidate will plan and implement property improvement projects, security operations and general property maintenance works.
Main Duties
Duties specific to the position include but are not limited to the following:
Planning and implementing security and safety measures for NHT property and assets in accordance with established standards and procedures
Addressing stakeholder complaints and issues
Monitoring service contracts to ensure performance and compliance with agreed standards
Providing timely resolution to customer queries
Monitoring and updating project schedules and risk management plans
Inspecting buildings and other facilities in accordance with maintenance and occupational health and safety guidelines
Assessing assets and recommending replacement, disposal or suitability for donation when necessary
Participating in developing the Unit’s budgets and operational, risk and procurement plans, and preparing reports.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have:
A bachelor’s degree in construction, architecture, urban and regional planning or equivalent accredited qualification from a recognized tertiary institution, and
At least two years’ experience in a similar capacity
Knowledge of:
Construction disciplines, principles and technology
Jamaica building code
Occupational health and safety principles and practices
Project management techniques
Contract administration and GOJ Public Procurement Act, guidelines and regulations
Budgeting and accounting principles
NHT policies, procedures and practices
Skills & Competencies
