A medium sized company in the hospitality sector in Kingston, Jamaica, is seeking a:
Purchasing Officer
With experience in inventory management

Summary of Major Functions
Procure all necessary goods and materials required to ensure the efficient operation of the organization, at the best cost.
Place orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure that deliveries are made within the company specified time periods.
Comply with company policies, procedures and controls regarding the procurement of goods and services.
Assist with the management of inventory.

Qualifications/Skills
An Associate Degree or Diploma in Business or a related field.
Previous purchasing and inventory management experience required.
Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and negotiating skills and be of high integrity.
Candidate must be competent in the use of computerized inventory systems and the Microsoft office suite.
Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
Be able to work on week-ends and holidays.
