IslandNet is seeking a:
Purchasing Supervisor
Responsibilities/Requirement
Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
Frequently collaborate with Inventory, Field and Project Managers to monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand for goods and services
Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality of products, delivery speed and craft negotiation strategies to close deals with optimal terms
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Evaluate and monitor contracts to ensure vendors and suppliers comply with the terms and conditions
Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
Perform cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking and collaborate with the finance team for budgeting and allocation of funds
Manage international shipping and maintain relationship with freight forwarders and custom brokers for timely delivery of goods
Ensure that all documentation for Company vehicles including licensing, insurance and other areas needed for legal operation are maintained and kept up to date
Manage the purchase order system including correct entering of invoice details
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administrations, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related discipline is preferred
Proven working experience as Purchasing Manager, Agent or officer
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management in technology space
Knowledge of purchasing procedures and working with US vendors
Strong negotiation and networking skills
Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
Strong leadership capabilities and excellent organizational/time management skills
