Risk Manager

Job Summary
Reporting to the Director – Strategic Planning and Evaluation, the Risk Manager has the primary responsibility for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) within the UDC. This includes designing an effective Risk Management Framework, deploying relevant Risk Management Strategies, analyzing the effectiveness of Risk Mitigation decisions and providing information supported by data to both the Management and Board of Directors of UDC to facilitate Risk-Based Decision Making. The position is also responsible for creating and nurturing a participatory Risk Management culture across the entire UDC Group.

The ideal candidate should have:
Specific Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
A degree in Risk Management, Finance or equivalent plus CPA or ACCA Fellow Designate or other related professional designate in Risk
At least 5 years’ experience in the field of Auditing, Finance or Risk
Management, with three (3) of experience at the senior management level
Expert knowledge of practices and processes relating to risk management guidelines and frameworks, internal controls and process improvement
Intermediate project management skills; and Process Analysis Skills
Sound knowledge of a broad range of operational/commercial environments (Finance, Insurance, Property Development, Property Management, Hospitality, Attractions,) would be an asset

Required Skills and Specialised Techniques
Strong analytical and data management skills with proficiency in Excel, Visio and MS Office
Significant problem-solving skills and experience, and capable of resolving complex situations and issues
Self-starter and strategic-thinker with the ability to multitask, work independently while continuing to act as a member of a team
Sound knowledge of industry risk and compliance standards, audit techniques, and statutory regulations governing the operations
Sound analytical, report writing and presentation skills
Excellent project management skills – ability to convert concepts to concrete actions
Well-developed management skills
