National Land Agency invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant position within the Land Titles Division:
Senior Customer Service Officer –Two (2) Posts
The successful candidates will report to the Supervisor, Customer Service.

Job Purpose
Provides assistance to customers transacting business in the Agency and disseminates information to customers and the general public on the services and products provided by the Agency and ensures that customers’ needs are satisfied as set out in the organization’s standards.

Key Responsibility Areas
Receives and processes customers’ requests
Assists walk-in customers with completing forms and documents required for completing their transaction.
Records correspondence received by the unit ensuring that all required information is noted.
Receives and routes incoming calls to relevant section/person in cases where assistance cannot be provided by the customer service unit.
Processes telephone customers’ requests ensuring that assistance is provided quickly
Provides assistance to customers using the internet-based services.
Accepts survey plans submitted for pre-checking.
Assesses documents submitted for lodgment and ensures that the documents meet the prerequisites of the relevant Acts.
Facilitates general and specific search requests for clients
Assists with the updating of data for monthly reports and the drafting and checking of all memorandum express/expedition matters.
Follows through to ensure that documents lodged are dispatched in a timely manner
Guarantees accurate dispatching of processed documents
Ensures customer service waiting areas are organized and clean
Processes approved new titles express and expedition cases.
Assists with front office supervision of staff.
Assists with the training and development of interns, holiday workers and field workers
Maintains ledger for expedition fees collected
Assists with the monitoring of the on-line and hot line customer service
Measures customers’ service delivery to ensure compliance with established standards.

Required Competencies
The post-holder will be able to demonstrate:
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Good planning, organizing and problem solving skills
Oral and written communication skills
Competence in the use of word processing, spreadsheet and other relevant software
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a high stressed environment
Sound knowledge of the Registration of Titles Act, the Registration of (Strata) Titles and the principles of land registration and conveyancing.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
Associates Degree in Business Administration/Studies, Communication or related field with two years related working experience
OR
Diploma in Business Administration/Studies, Communication or related field with three years related working experience
Five CXC/GCE O’ Level subjects including English Language and a numeric subject
Diploma in Paralegal Studies will be an asset
