The Jamaica Bauxite Institute seeks to engage qualified and experienced individuals for the following position:
Senior Project Officer(Bauxite Lands)

Under the supervision of the Director of Bauxite Lands, the Senior Project Officer shall:
Assist in the development, review and finalization of JBI’s annual project work plans
Contribute to the development of the scope and objectives of projects to be undertaken by the JBI and to the identification of the support services and resources required for their monitoring and evaluation towards successful implementation
Provide technical guidance and ensure that the necessary controls for planning, scheduling, tracking and monitoring project deliverables and outcomes
Facilitate project review meetings and provide effective and regular communications and facilitate a good working relationship between the JBI and other stakeholders relevant to the projects being implemented
Develop and adhere to guidelines in relation to budgeting, planning, scheduling and monitoring of project expenses and deliverables to ensure the planned and desired outcomes
Identify implementation challenges in collaboration with stakeholders and be proactive in providing recommendations for resolution
Provide guidance and leadership to project support personnel

Minimum Qualifications and Other Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Management, Project Development, Sociology or related area
(Interested applicants should possess experience in project development, implementation and monitoring with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite)
