Teaching Personnel is offering a teaching assistant role for sports coaches or sports graduates to work with vulnerable young people in Cornwall. This role is available on a part-time supply basis as well as on a long-term basis.
As a teaching assistant you will be working closely with a student who struggles with social, emotional, and behavioural issues with the aim to improve behaviour, self-esteem and self-confidence and helping the student to re-engage with education. Sports coaches work exceptionally well in this setting as children often see them as role models and the affinity for sports is often something that helps build relationships.
- Salary – 1,300 a month
- Location - Cornwall
- School - All-ages
- CPD courses offered through Teaching Personnel's CPD academy
- Experience working with students or any SEN is desired however not essential
