1:1 tuition available – Greenwich I am looking for tutors who will be looking for tuition work from September 2020, providing support on a 1:1 basis for students who are out of education. Some examples of reasons why tuition might be put in place
- Students suffering from depression/anxiety
- Students displaying challenging behaviour who have been excluded from mainstream education
- Students diagnosed with ADHD and autism
- Students who are new to the borough/in a foster placement or children’s home
The location for 1:1 tuition is normally a local library – Greenwich Centre, Woolwich Centre, Eltham, Blackheath, Thamesmead, Thamesmere or Abbey Wood. It could also be the family home, foster placement home or children’s centre.
Tuition is normally 2 hours per day and 5 days per week per student, however you can take on more than one student per day if you would like to increase your hours and pay.
It will be your responsibility to plan, prepare and deliver all materials. The main subjects you will be required to deliver are English and maths. Most students are low level due to their difficulties with either special needs, behaviour or mental health.
Pay rate GBP20 - GBP25 per hour, dependent on experience.
