Tuition work available across the London Borough of Greenwich
If you will be available to provide tuition on a 1:1 basis for young people who are out of education from September onwards, I would like to hear from you!
I work with Greenwich local authority to support the learning and development of young people in the borough who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training). The reasons that these young people are out of education can include:
- Mental health difficulties – including anxiety and depression
- Behaviour difficulties – including those who have been permanently or fixed term excluded
- SEN – including autism, ADHD and sometimes physical impairments
- LAC – including children who may have just moved into the borough in a new foster placement
I am looking for tutors who can confidently prepare and deliver content covering numeracy and literacy – including assessment of current working level. Mostly you will be tutoring functional skills, however you may be required to go up to foundation GCSE. An interest in other subjects is always beneficial.
You would be required to travel to areas including the following libraries: Woolwich, Greenwich, Blackheath, Eltham, Abbey Wood, Thamesmead and Thamesmere. There is a small possibility you may be asked to tutor within the family home or at a children’s residential home instead of a library.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
