HYDRO VAC OPERATOR
Tomlinson Environmental Services is seeking to hire an experienced Hydro Excavator Operator (AZ/DZ Driver). This role is labor intensive, and you will be required to drive a variety of trucks (Hydro Excavator & Vacuum Trucks). This position is year-round and is full-time permanent.
Hourly wage: $22.25-23.00
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate and drive primarily Hydro Vac Trucks to excavate on various sites.
Loading, unloading and handling vacuum hoses involves lifting items up to 50 pounds.
Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle and vehicle systems as well as condition of equipment.
Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goods.
Record hours of service and manually maintain log books (e-log).
Administer bills of lading and manifests.
Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices.
Perform DVIR on equipment and vehicles.
Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Be responsible for Industrial Technician’s safety at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
Valid AZ/DZ Driver’s License is required with ability to drive manual transmission.
2-5 years’ of experience on Hydro Vac Trucks is preferred.
This position involves working from Monday to Friday and must have the ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends, holidays and being on call.
Applicant can expect being tasked on trucks other than Hydro Vac.
The successful applicant will receive up to 1 month of on the job training, which includes WHMIS, TDG, Chemical Awareness Training, LOTO, ECA, and REG 347.
