DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Handle all aspects of export operations, including arranging bookings with transport providers and ocean/air carriers, filing required documents, and providing full customer service for each shipment. Primarily working with ocean and some air.Process export documentation in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance to our procedures and country requirements exercising personal judgement and discretion.Always utilize discretion and personal judgement to ship goods using the most efficient and cost-effective route to increase margin on each shipment.Manage engaging vendors and suppliers, and work with procurement team on ocean and air cargo needsAuthority to negotiate rates and make decisions pertaining to shipping vendors.Ensure product compliance, operating efficiency, with a specific focus on productivity, quality and profitability.Oversee pick up on behalf of the client/ agent as required.Responsible for accurate completion of airway bills.Manage invoicing and collection of freight, agency and disbursements from clients.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 4 years of Air or Ocean export experience.Minimum 4 years of freight forwarding experience.Working knowledge of EdiTrade/SAP/Microsoft Suite Programs is a plusExcellent communication & customer service skills.Accurate and detail oriented.Work well under pressure and ability to multitask.Able to work in a team environment and independently.In-office positionSCHEDULE:The days/ hours are Mon. - Fri., 8:30 - 5 pm, on-siteThe company offers an excellent and comprehensive benefit package, with PTO and career growth based on performance.The salary range is $50k - 60k.
