The Urban Development Corporation requires a:
Park Manager– Closed Harbour Beach Park (One-Year Contract)
Job Summary
The incumbent has the responsibility to manage and efficiently coordinate the start-up operations for Closed Harbour Beach Park, Montego Bay which is expected to open in December 2020. The successful candidate will lead the creation of operations standards and manuals, set-up commercial guidelines and establish the operations team.
The ideal candidate should have:
Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies/Operations Management/Hospitality Management or equivalent from an accredited institution
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in managing a medium size tourism/hospitality entity of a similar nature
Knowledge of management practices and principles
Knowledge of real estate rental practices in Jamaica
Sound knowledge of marketing and financial management principles and techniques
Sound knowledge of planning, budgeting and scheduling techniques
Sound knowledge of customer service, hospitality and events management practices & principles
Proven knowledge of the operating principles of property and project management
Working knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
Sound knowledge of relevant computer applications e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel

Excellent logistics, problem solving and multitasking skills
Sound research, analytical, report writing and presentation skills
Ability to interpret financial and other management reports
