A leading manufacturer of food & beverage ingredients seeks to identify a suitable candidate to fill the position of:
Product Research & Development Officer

Role & Core Function
The (Product) Research & Development Officer is responsible for spearheading the product development activities of the company in order to take advantage of existing opportunities in the market place and to create new products which will ultimately satisfy their customers.
– New Product research
– New Product development
– Existing product review and updates/improvement
– Perform Quality Control Checks
– Keeping abreast of market trends

Requirements
Successful candidate must have:
BSc degree in food science or related area
Knowledge of HACCP, ISO & QMS
Internal audit training & certification
Valid Food Handlers’ Permit
Minimum 2 years’ working experience in a similar capacity
Experience in developing products sustainable in the marketplace

Other Requirements
Good sensory skills
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
Detail-Oriented
Knowledge & application of conversion factors
Must be a team player
Ability to work under pressure
Strong planning and organizational skills with analytical mind
