An opportunity has arisen at Jamalco for an experienced and suitably qualified:
Production System Operator– Clarification Department

Under the direction of the Department Supervisor this position is accountable for:
Supporting the maintenance of stable operations in the Department.
Troubleshooting Bayer Process systems and processes and taking corrective actions to quickly restore normalcy.
Complying with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, including the cleanliness of assigned work areas, working cooperatively in a team environment and using initiative to make suggestions and recommendations for continued improvement; and
Collaborating with the Department Supervisor and Operating Technicians to achieve the department’s accountability objectives and being involved in Operator Based Maintenance (OBM) and Jamalco Business Systems (JBS) activities.

Qualification and Experience
To be considered you must have:
High school education with certified passes at GCE/CXC level or equivalent in Physics/Chemistry, English and Mathematics OR Passes to at least Grade 10 as determined by the Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT);
A minimum of three (3) years Bayer Process experience, or successful completion of Jamalco’s process training course;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
Good computer skills.
