The National Housing Trust is seeking to contract a:
Resident Engineer– Project Management Department
The successful candidate will be assigned to the Perth Housing Development in Manchester for two years. The incumbent will conduct quality assurance and verify construction works in keeping with established laws, building codes, regulations, policies, standards and procedures.

Main Duties
Duties specific to the position include but are not limited to the following:
Communicating progress, discrepancies, variances and recommendations to the Project Manager
Monitoring housing and infrastructure works
Conducting quality assurance reviews and verifying construction works to ensure compliance with contracts and project specifications
Validating contractors’ claims for interim payments
Participating in developing, reviewing and implementing operational [email protected] , policies and procedures to guide construction activities, and
Preparing reports

Qualifications
The successful candidate must have:
A bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil/construction engineering, quantity surveying, architecture or equivalent accredited qualification
Certification in project management principles and techniques, and
At least three years’ experience in a similar capacity.

Working knowledge of:
GOJ laws, regulations and guidelines governing procurement and contract administration and the construction sector
CIC, FIDIC, JCC, JIC and other types of contracts, and Microsoft Office Suite, MS Projects and other relevant software.

Sound knowledge of:
NHT policies, procedures and practices and Daily Intake Construction Project Charter National building code, municipalities’ by-laws, NEPA regulations, BSJ construc- tion and occupational health and safety regulations and practices
