Teaching Personnel are working with a Primary School in Mid Cornwall who are recruiting Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants to support individual children with moderate to severe learning difficulties.
The role of an SEN Teaching Assistant at the school may change during the day, dependent upon the support needs of each pupil. The successful candidate will be required to work alongside class teachers and other support staff and to follow any recommendations/guidance from multi agency teams. Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviours, severe physical and/or learning difficulties is essential for this position. A warm and empathetic personality is vital, as is a desire to work professionally with others to ensure we provide the best possible support for our pupils. A commitment to continuing professional development is necessary. Experience supporting individuals with manual handling, physiotherapy and administering medication would be an advantage but is not essential. Knowledge of Autism would be beneficial.
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8.15 - 3, term time only. Start date 2nd September 2020.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
