National Land Agency invites applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant position within the Corporate Services Division:
Senior Public Procurement Officer(1 Post)
The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Public Procurement.
Job Purpose
To manage the procurement of goods and services within the Agency to ensure best value for money and optimized cost savings in compliance with the Government of Jamaica’s Procurement Guidelines, Policies and Regulations and the Agency’s procurement policy.
Key Responsibilities
Management/Administrative Responsibilities
Provides leadership to supervisees through example and sharing of knowledge/skill;
Assisting with oversight responsibility for the procurement function and activities within the Corporate Services Division including: preparing, interpreting and evaluating Specifications, contract documents including specifications of Terms of Reference (TOR) and Request for Proposals (RPF) and appropriate Scope of Work to effect procurement;
Assisting with managing the processing of Tenders.
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Public Administration, Management Studies or Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
Certificate in Public Procurement: UNDP/CIPS Level 3 or INPRI Level 3 or Level 4.
Three (3) years related working experience in procurement and/or supply chain management (preferably in the Government service).
Training/Certification in Supervisory Management.
Certification in project management would be an asset
